This past Thursday was test day for our Mouse Trap Vehicles. Our vehicle averaged around 8 meters each run and was always quite consistent in running in a straight path. It worked fairly well in the sense that nothing came loose and the vehicle was very stable. The first time we let it go it seemed to want to veer off to the right, so we adjusted our wheel more to the left and it helped improve the alignment. The vehicle is made of 2 cd's for wheels, paint sticks as the chassis and a lego wheel for our front. We are looking to replace the Cd wheels with record wheels , hoping that it will cover more distance coming to race day. We did have it running at an average of 14 meters before test day, so hopefully the little tweeks we make will make that possible.
